Access Violation when opening and using video...
Hey all
Trying to import a simple animation to PTLE 6.9 o redo the sound effects on. no matter the file type I get the same message Cound not complete the import movie..Access voliation occoured Any ideas Running: P4 3.0 Albatron PX865PE7/pro 512ram 80gig Radeon 9550 PTLE 6.9 Mbox Reason 3.0 Lots of plugins M-Audio audiophile 2496 Rest doesnt matter ... So a few restarts later and it will finally import. Problem is I insert a single track of audio and the same message comes up, this time locking up protools, contuing to play the audio file long after it should have stopped and the only way I can exit is forcefully through task manager! Checked the motherboard, reccomended chipset Any help appreciated. Bought PTLE to do this but not having alot of luck. --Dazrae |

Re: Access Violation when opening and using video.
Please check that all folders and files are not 'Read Only'.
You might also try trashing preferences files, as indicated in the 'General Troubleshooting' sticky at the top of this forum. If that doesn't fix it, please let us know more about your configuration (computer model, number and types of drives, what type of video file it is, etc.). |

Re: Access Violation when opening and using video.
Ok got it to work but freezes with same message occasionally, not very stable
My system is set up to the letter as described in yout help section, PTLE is my main sequencing program. If I have any distinct problems ill be sure to let you know.. Still not as stable as I would like but usable --Dazrae |

Re: Access Violation when opening and using video.
I just wanted to double check that you've used MSCONFIG to disable all startup items other than MMERefresh and that all extraneous hardware (networking, wireless and built in sound cards) is disabled in your Device Manager.
If they are, you could try creating a new administrator account, sign in under it and try everything again. There may be some permissions problem or other issue with your current account. |

Re: Access Violation when opening and using video...
Which version of QuickTime are you running? Have you considered more RAM?
