Access Violation prevents song file from opening
I have a strange one that is got me scratching my head...
One particular song file that I try to open gives me a dialogue box " could not complete the"Open Session..." command because: access violation occurred". It occurs at the very end of the loading process, and the task window is opened with a paused task of rendering a fade. At this point PT is hung because I get the same access violation response if I try to close or do anything else. Each time I try this procedure I notice a new fade file created in my fade files folder I have been working on several files over the past few days and this is the only one that is doing this. I installed Autotune 4 RTAS demo a few days ago, but it is working fine on other files, so I'm not convinced that is a problem. I'm running PT LE 6.1 and Windows XP Any help would be greatly appreciated. SophiaHat |

Re: Access Violation prevents song file from opening
Create a new session and import session data from the troublesome session a track at a time. YOu could also try deleting the DigiBase folder contents.

Re: Access Violation prevents song file from opening
Thanks Jon, that worked. It turns out that the culprit was a fade written on one of the tracks. Now, if I only knew how to prevent that from happening again.
thanks again SophiaHat |
