Why don't you guys lay off of Nickelback for F***s sake?!?! I would leave the stage too if a bunch of disrespecting pricks were throwing shoes and bottles at me. I believe they were opening up for another band and the crowd wasn't into Nickelback. So the crowd didn't miss out anyway. And the "how you remind me of Someday" track... Sure they got caught doing what bands do all the time. Linkin Park's guilty of ripping themselves off too (and that's off the top of my head). Remember that Nickback wrote "How You Remind Me" in the first place. It's one of the biggest singles of all time. Don't be a hater because someone made it big.

Later.

"This is how you remind me.. on how bad I am..." Isn't that how the VOX go???

Just kidding Jayman.... Nickelback has a few good parts, sound is nice, but they don't do it for me.... as well as a lot of others out here it seems....

Kinda like Linkin Park. All I hear on that new song is...

"I Can't sing...... (as he yells) so let me yell this song..." That is all I hear, along with the same type of sound for EVERY SONG!

This is typical of bands though ya know...

Anyways, my .02 cents....

I bet that is typical...man that really cracks me up.

It sounded like he kept singing even after he stepped away from the mic?

not exactly how you get new fans...haha.
i'm agreeing with doc here, while bands such as Linking Park and Nickelback are talented, they write IMO very monotonous sounding songs. Thats not to say that they can't play their instruments...they're all very talented, but i mean, come on...walking off the stage because no one recognizes them is such an arrogant rockstar thing to do...

Would have been great if he stopped and did a

" HELLO CLEVELAND" in a Nigel Tuffnell like voice. Then walked off. Instead he did the...

"I rock out on a $3000 dollar PRS while playing power chords and standing in a full locked rocker position while getting rocks thrown at me. Thinking that I am king of the hill and everybody loves me." Then to top it off.... I walk off the stage...

Hell, ya think Maynard from TOOL would have done that... HEll no! He would have thrown the rocks back, stood on the monitor and stared the S.O.B. in the face to taunt him to do it again. Hoping that a rock were to hit him, or even go through a speaker, bounce off a guitar or even better yet... DRAWN BLOOD just so he had reason to get more insane....

Think about that! Then to top it off... Go OLE' SCHOOL and back to WANKER 90's era and think about say.. Sebastian Bach and what he would have done.... JUMPED IN THE CROWD AND BEAT SOME ARSH!...... Remember that.... Or was that Axle?

Damn and it is Thursday too...

Rock on!

Whether you like them or not, no performer should have to put up with that shiet. They did the right thing by stopping the show, confronting the crowd, & walking off stage. For the poster that said that Maynard of Tool fame wouldn't have put up with that and would have kicked some arse...yeah right. Jumping in to a unruly crowd has to be the stupidest thing a performer could ever do. Years back, at a Stone Temple Pilots concert here in L.A. a 'over zealous. POS punk' decided to throw a cup of beer at Scott Weiland while he was leaning on a floor monitor. Everyone saw it, he was soaked. He stopped the song and called the guy out. No one moved. So he posed a question to the crowd, 'Bring me the mother f@cker that threw the beer or we walk'. Now they were on the third tune and were headlining. The guy was exposed in seconds and humiliated by Scott for about 3 minutes and while escorted by security out of the venue, Scott recommended that people soak his arse with beer as he passes by you in appreciation of being an idiot. Much better than jumping in to the crowd.

Lowfreq,
That was me who posted that "Jump in the crowd" sarcastic joke. If you know me and my ways you would have understood that. I was not saying that they were stupid to walk, and meant it more as a joke than a "stupid thing for them to do." This post has gotten off to a pointless argument that alot of these topics seem to do. I would have walked too....

If you remember back, and I am not too sure how old you are. In the early 90's (think GNR and Skid Row wars) era. There was a battle going on who could be more outright (or kick the crap out of each other quicker.) Sebastian Bach, and Axle Rose had it out for one another. There was a show, and I believe it was Skid Rows front man, who had a bottle (or a cup) thrown at him.... Well, what did he do.. He dove right into the crowd, feet first into the fool, and proceeded to beat the hell out of the guy. That was what I was joking about...

Now.... As for TOOL... I had the great previledge of opening for Tool in 1993 at a small club in Cleveland, OH (hence the Spinal Tap "Hello Cleveland" remark.) Maynard scared the living hell out of the crowd. He stood facing the crowd, one leg up on the monitor and proceeded to stare at you until you looked away. Then he would gracefully move to the next victim and stare until that guy looked away. It was cool as hell to watch, but you were thinking... "man, this guys gonna kill someone." Top that off with a dim lit stage, a guy who has a tattoo of his spine and tailbone down his back, with a seriously receeded mohawk, topped off by starring at you, and some killer loud ass music and you can amount that to a "CHAOS THEORY" of mayhem... Loudest show I have seen next to Ministry!

That's all.... Take it like you will though, and understand my humor in things at times on this DUC please... I am on here a lot! and mean no HARM to anyone........
