Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
Anyone notice on Apogees web site that the Rosetta 800 will now interface directly to HD? Thought that might be interesting news here.

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
Looks like the HD X-card won't be ready until April '04
However, for those of us that have a Mix system, the November release of the Mix X-card is right around the corner!!!

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
This is the best news I've heard in a while. I have been holding out on upgrading to HD. Digidesign will finally get more of my $$. Why do I suspect that Digidesign didn't support Apogee's R&D for this?..anyone know the scoop?

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
Sounds like Apogee is back on the food chain.......I think there might be something in the works with Digi maybe new A/D D/A cards because there going to lose sales on the 192.

I'm glad this came out before I upgraded.
Supposedly the pricing will be the same as the 192. Nice

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
I would think it would cost more than the 192?
Rosetta800 + interface + 192k upgrade....... |

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
Just for the record i paid $2750 for my Rosetta 800 and the Digi Mix card was about $250. All brand new. Asuming the HD card will be close to the same. Last time I checked on a 192 with 8 a/d and 8 d/a it was about $3300.

Re: Apogee Rosetta 800 direct connection to HD
I am thinking of upgrading to HD using a 192 digital and going ADAT or TDIF out to a couple of Rosetta 800s or Trak2s. Do the Rosetta's come with ADAT or TDIF capabilities? Has anyone tried this setup? Are there any pitfalls?
Thanks for help |
