Default Disi002 Rack driver problem

I have been trying to install pro tools driver with an orange micro pc cardbus iEEE 1394b firewire card. I see the green ligh as a solig green after i ditched the xp pro nec drive and loaded the orange driver but still the sofware is unable to find hardware.. I even tried to manually load drive and it fails, The orannge 1394 indicator on the front is not on. Any insight would help.

Compatible FireWire cards -- I'd recommend the Adaptec.
