Really regret upgrading it .... now not only PT11 not running and even PT 10.3.6 is also not running.
Avid should have work out this issue with iLok before selling... now wonder when iLok will reply and wonder how long that's going to be... |

please try the following :
1. Unplug all iLoks from your computer. 2. Reboot 3. Launch iLok License Manager. If you see "operation in progress" immediately upon launching, wait until the message clears before signing in. BE PATIENT. Do not close the application. When the initial operation is finished, sign in. 4. Plug in ONE iLok. 5. Double-click the plugged in iLok in the left-hand location column to open the Details Pane. 6. Click the "Sync/Repair" link, and wait until the process completes. Again, be patient and let it do its job. The progress bar may flicker and at some points it may look like nothing is happening but you need to wait for the confirmation that the process is finished. This may take some time, especially for a first generation iLok. 7. Verify that all expected licenses are now seen on your iLok, or in some cases, a license may be in your account instead of on the iLok. All expired licenses will be moved to your account. Your licenses are not gone. I would try to see if you can spot the PT10 license in your acct somewhere. See if it has a little grey flag next to it. If not the surrender was NOT successful. If you can't solve it : get a 30 day trial license. It is fully featured and will keep you up and running whilst you sort this out.

None of the above is necessary with any other piece of DAW software I am aware of other than Pro Tools. Now that iLok has blocked me from my legal and paid for versions of PT 10 and PT 11 (two computers) I will remember that before I make another Pro Tools purchase. I'll eventually get this mess straightened out, but this is the last PT purchase I'll make that requires an iLok.

I had a similar issue, where I had to surrender my PT10 license to get my PT11 license, which I did, and now when I try to activate my PT11 license, or drag it to my iLok it says the License needed for surrender is not available!
I have seen MANY people have had the same or similar issues. THEY NEED SORTING NOW. ![]() |

UPDATE - I just checked my iLok manager and it looks like they have fixed the problem (for me anyway) so I would suggest taking another look at your own and seeing if it has been solved.
I had the problem when I surrendered my old PT10 activation it would not let me activate my PT11 activation because I had nothing to surrender, but when I checked it again later in the night the surrender flag had gone on my PT11activation and it allowed me to activate it onto my iLok. I have not yet tried to open PT11 with the new activation because I downloaded the 30 day trial and installed PT11 again, I had even further problems with opening PT11 but as far as the activation, it seems to have slight progress!! (PS I did not confuse my 30 day trial activation with my popper one, as one said expires in 30 days and the one I have just activated has no expiration date and does not say trial, just saying) Hopefully tomorrow will bring some more results! |

I let it sit, came back about 2 hours later, and all the activations were now on my iLOK, including my PT11 package. I have no idea how it got pushed down.. maybe it the progress bar is broken so it only looked like it had finished when it really had not. |

I entered a support ticket this morning and by this afternoon when I tried it, it worked. You might need to put in a support ticket to get them to notice and fix your account.
