I'm working with PT LE and Logic 7. Depending on what my approach to production that day I will either track a session in Logic and export it to PT for final mix or track basic tracks in PT and export to Logic to leverage it's virtual instruments and editing capabilities. It's to my understanding that you have to use DigiTranslator to export OMF from PT, but wiil it work with PT LE.

I find OMF export and import to be nearly more painful than it's worth. The vast majority of people print the tracks down as continous files, starting from a known point in the song.

K,
Thanks. I think you're right, exporting a continuous track per file is much easier and less expensive since you don't need DigiTranslator. Peace, Malgfunk |
