Default Batch Renaming App

for those of you who don't wander over to the Post area......

hey folks :

thought this was a very very useful utility for those of you who have to do large number of files for jobs. like phone prompts and the like. we just picked it up for this very purpose...

you can even import a tab-delimted text document and name all your files from that!

A BETTER FINDER NAME

they have both Mac & PC !!

ciao,

el ministro

We've been using it for a while. I do multiple stem mixes (4 x stereo using a 7.1 mixer) where each stereo mix goes to different Countries. I rename .L/.R to US, .Lc/.Rc to CAN, .Ls/.Rs to UK, etc. During a typical month's worth of work there will be 176 files that are renamed to these various versions within about 90-seconds.

WELL WORTH THE SHAREWARE FEE. I purchased a FOREVER license good for all future updates.

I agree. This little app has helped me a few times. Also, the Mac OS app "Automator" does quite a good job. Has bailed me out a couple of times.

I use "R-Name" donationware for UNICEF and does the same except for the batch-renaming with text-lists.
