Default Re: Center channel in Atmos

There are settings in the panner that change the size of the object and how disperse the sound is for that object.

What are you trying to achieve with this object that you’re not accomplishing? Maybe there’s a better way for you to go about it.

Since you’re new to Atmos there might be some re-thinking needed and planning for creating your mix.

With objects it all about the space, you’re not locked into any particular channel format. Based on your Room setup, the Renderer will play the object out any speaker to represent the space in which you place the object and how large or small you make the object. That 3D virtual space is essentially a box represented by x, y, z coordinates as explained previously. You’re not assigning the object to a speaker, you’re placing it in a virtual space.

In order to lock objects to the nearest discrete speaker, In the Pro Tools panner there is an icon called speaker snap that will lock it in place.

Keep in mind that when the panner is used on stereo tracks, the default behavior is that the two panners are linked with Inverse Pan enabled so the pair are mirrored.

Can you show a screenshot of your panner? I do it all the time.
