Sync x not work with mtrx studio

I bought two Pro Tools | MTRX Studio and Pro Tools | Sync X
when try to use VSO variable seed cannot get any effect speed or pitch
i was try with loop sync and world clock and make a firmware update still not work
any advice ?
i was work in my home hd x , avid hd omni and sync hd it working very good

MTRX family devices can only tolerate a very small deviation in clock speed and are therefore not ideal for extended VSO workflows as compared to HD IO or other such devices.

This is new to me, perhaps the MTRX manual and product sheets should be updated? VSO is very useful in workflows where you need to do deal with instruments recorded at slightly different pitches... I never got it working with the MTRX but I assumed that was an issue with Dante not being able to varispeed rather than the MTRX.

This has been discussed freely since the release of the first MTRX, which if memory serves, can tolerate around .33 semitones - up or down.

While the HD IO is capable of far greater VSO, the MTRX is an exceptional sounding device - and part of that is due to the clock design chosen - which agreed is rigid. If VSO is still a critical part of your workflow, I would suggest augmenting with another interface for that use case.

Hi Jeff,

we've installed two new MTRX II by our client who needs to use VSO to change the tuning by 8 cents. But when VSO is set to 0.06 semitones or higher, MTRX II goes out of sync (on its wordclock input). When set to 0.05 semitones, the sync locks again.
We've expected 0.08 semitones to work, based on your 0.33 semitones remark.
Is the clock of MTRX II even more rigid than the original MTRX?

Yes, the MTRX II is even more picky to clock deviation as compared to the original MTRX unit - which did see some component changes over time.
