Default Best Controller for PT LE???

Hi, I'm looking at getting some sort of control surface for PT LE.

There are a number of midi-controllers available such as Kenton Control Freak, UC-33, KORG-MIcroKontrol, etc, etc, etc, which all look quite good.

I also looked at the Mackie Baby HUI and it looks like the best controller out of all of them (and it also has motorised faders), but there doesn't seem to be much info around on this.

Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions?
Thanks

I´m interested in the Evolution UC-33 Controller too. Does anybody know, if it works with PT LE (6.1.1)???

There have been some compatibility issues.....

Seriously...why not the obvious Mackie control?

Thanks for your input everyone.

I like the idea of a motorised control surface, and the Mackie Control may be just a bit over the top for what I'm looking for (although it looks fantastic). As for the DIGI002, it too looks great but again it's too much for me right now.

I was looking more at the Baby HUI, which you can pick up quite cheap now (less than half the price of the Control). I believe that this is because it is going to be discontinued very soon. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of say about it. I wonder if anyone knows how good this Baby HUI is?

The one thing I would like to be able to do is to automate plugin parameters, but I'm not sure if this Baby could handle that.

It's really nice, really cool, with a great target price, but...where are the "scribble" strips (i.e. track name display). That sucks big time, considering how much people (me, at least) shuffle tracks around, displaying and un-displaying tracks constantly.

I use the Mackie Control Universal and love it. My only real big problem with that is, occasionally I get the "PT has lost communication with HUI" error. It's only got in the way once, and that's when I was recording someone, and the lost error stopped the recording. That's unacceptable (I haven't inquired about it on their forum, but maybe now I will). Nonetheless, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I almost went for the Baby HUI, but after careful thought, I realized the MCU was right for me. I haven't regretted it since.
Peace
