using ibook with imic adapter
I am using the imic adapter with an additional adapter that allows me to plug in a 1/4" jack cable from my guitar. The problem is that it sounds perfect until I hit record when it suddenly adds a beating sound to the incoming notes as if the signal is being interrupted. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know what I can try to eliminate the problem??

Re: using ibook with imic adapter
Sounds as though you're monitoring both the input and output, and the slight delay on the output gives you the 'beating' sound you refer to. Check your sound control panel and monitoring setup to make sure you listen to input only or output only.
Hope that helps. |

Re: using ibook with imic adapter
what does it sound like when you play back what you have recorded? i hope the "turn of soundthroughput for input/output" works......

Re: using ibook with imic adapter
So you are successfully using PT Free with your iBook, iMic and some sort of adapter for 1/4". I'm only using the iMic
and have tried to record guitar through a J-Station, but the delay is killing me....can't get anything recorded in time this way. Are you not having this problem? |
