Default M-Audio Mobilepre MK II volume controls on the computer(MAC)??

i have my m-audio mobilepre mk ii....from what i learned this is not a mobilepre USB so i cant use that driver(1.1.8)(everytime i connect to the computer it says unable to connect is it on?) the m-audio mobilepre driver CD(1.3) it came with works perfectly fine it says its connected but does not have the volume controls and when i set my monitor speakers to my sound output on my mac(10.9.2) the controls on the volume is locked....i know my speakers can go way louder than its letting me....any help guys???1
