delay bouncing midi file to wav. file

hallo to everyone.
i'm a new digi user.
i have a little question, sorry for my bad english

actually (using Pt 8.1) i record midi track by my korg poly 800.
when i bounce the midi track to obtain a file wav, there is a little delay in the wav file..i must requantize audio file.
usually I create a midi track and aux imput for monitoring audio..

can you help me?

Under Setup>Preferences>MIDI you can set the Global MIDI Offset to compensate for the difference. This affects all MIDI/Inst tracks

You can also set offsets per track Event>MIDI Track Offsets

You can adjust them from -10000 to +10000

I get a similar thing bouncing an audio track to wav. I put a hihat hit right at the beginning of the session and bounced it. The result has 23ms of silence before the hit starts. The same thing happens with instrument tracks but the track delay shown in the indicator is only 10 samples which is a fraction of a millisecond. I'm using Mpowered 7.4

using separate on transients i have different delays
so i can't set the global midi OFFESET because i have different delays in wav format

can you explain this fact?

it's happened bouncing midi/instrument track or playing midi part e recording directly in audio track..
is it possible?

Do you have Delay Compensation on or off?...If it's on turn it off and see if this helps.

I stopped using external MIDI modules nowadays, but it happened when I first used VI, albeit in Digital Performer and not PT.

I'm not sure how to fix it in Protools, but I guess it will always happen to a certain extent. VI happens in the box, so the host can control the timing with extreme accuracy and minimal latency, on playback. However, external MIDI devices need a certain reaction time to the MIDI signal, and most importantly, routing back to an aux track is creating extra latency. It will mostly depend on the buffer settings etc. in your playback engine menu.

I remember there's a way to make bussed recording time-aligned (compensated). It's an option to be selected in a pop-up menu, but I forgot which one (been searching in the menu and can't find, and I can't open protools now coz my ilok is in the office :P)
