Default Mbox and G5 constant -9136

My G5 isn't doing too well with 6.2.2. I get constant -9136 using any buffer size. I cant even get the Salvation demo to play through without stopping which I could on my G3 700 mhz with 384 mb of ram. I know have 1.6 G5 with 1.25 gigs. The cpu drain doesnt come close to red when doing this but it always stops. Anyone else having problems like this.
