Default Is 2022.12 worth the update for non ASN?

Hi guys, I know this has been discussed in the ASN Public beta thread, but cant find specific posts with the search function.

Has anyone noticed improvements with 2022.12 on Monterey or Ventura non-ASN? I have an M1 max but dont want to try the beta version as its my work device, but am curious if 2022.12 non-native has improvements worth upgrading for, I.E melodyne ARA issues, stability, etc. I am on 2022.10 currently.

2022.12 is the first officially certified version to run on Ventura. Along with a slew of bug fixes which you can read about here.

2022.12 running under Rosetta is not beta. The only beta part of 2022.12 is running natively on an M1 or M2 Mac.

As always, you can install both versions if you feel 2022.12 is unstable for any reason.

I've seen fewer complaints about 2022.12 in Rosetta mode than any version of PT for a couple of years. Seems like a lot of focus on bug fixes (given that there were no new features). Runs well here. I'm testing the AS beta occassionally, but need the score editor for the way I normally work, which doesn't function at all in the AS beta, so I'm using Rosetta mode almost all of the time. I'd say it's worth a try - easy on MacOS to rename your existing version and install 2022.12 as well.

From my limited testing in Rosetta mode on my home M1, I’d say it’s running slightly better for low latency tracking though previously CPU hogging plugins (I’m looking at you guitar amp sims).

It’s running great on my iMac Pro HDX on Catalina and Mac Book M1 Pro in Monterrey (Rosetta mode). I’d say it’s the best version on the mac book ever.
