Question regarding an upgrade to PT 10

Hi guys. I currently have Pro Tools 8 M-Powered running on my PC and I want to upgrade to the latest PT 10 but I'm hesitant. I lost my Pro tools 8 MP Package with the CD and the only reason I'm able to use it is because I backed the files up on my external harddrive and dragged it onto my new OS; So PT is working but I don't have the CD and I don't know if the Pro Tools 10 Upgrade from M-Powered is going to be able to recognize my current PT. It does not show up in my programs list either. Do you guys think the cross upgrade from M-powered to 10 will recognize my current version of PT? I don't know if I should risk it or not. I was thinking of buying a full version of PT 9 M-Powered and then upgrading to 10 but that will lose me $. Any ideas?

-Intel 3.2 ghz Quad Core Processor

-M-Audio USB Fast track

-M-Audio KeyRig 49 Controller

-4 GB DDR3 Vengeance Ram (Temporary until my 12 GB DDR3 Corsair Ram ships in)

-Reason 6; NI Massive

If your M-Powered software is registered with Digi/Avid, you should be fine. My understanding is that the crossgrade is a full install, and a lot of people seem to be uninstalling previous versions, though that's not supposed to be necessary. I think it would be a crying shame if you had to buy a new version just to get to the upgrade path.

Ok I'll give it a go then. I just don't have my CD Key or CD, but I do have it installed along with the ILok .. Fingers crossed. Thanks
