Default noisey mbox

Hello,
I purchased an Mbox 1 brand new in Sept 05. Well I have used with headphones and for the first time I have hooked it up to a mixer. I am getting a high pitch whinning with some digital noise the phases in and out. Also if I move my mouse I hear digital noise. I have searched the answerbase and have found nothing to help me. My question is has anybody had this problem and if so what did they do to get rid of it. Thanks

running a dell deminsion 4600 3.06ghz 2gig of ram windows xp with protools le 7.1

I had the same issue, what solved it for me was using the SP/DIF output directly into my speakers. Good luck, let us know how you get rid of it.

I also ran into the same problem. Make sure you are using the USB cable that came with the MBOX, it has a filter on it which will help. The other thing I did which completely eliminated the noise, was to remove some cables from my mixer. ex: I had the MBox going to my mixing board, which is what I also used for vocals during practice. the mixing board went to a feedback filter, then out to the PA amp, then to the speakers. I ended up pulling the one cable that cut the feedback filter out of the loop, and the noise was gone. Best thing to do is to check all your cables and connections.
