How often do you image your system drive? Daily? Weekly? Anyway restore your last working image and turn off MS updates until you are sure everything else is stable. Then apply MS updates one at a time and check the system for issues.

Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see your firewire controller listed in the Sandra report, or any PCMCIA or ExpressCard slot to install one in. Also don't see it listed in the specs on the Asus website:http://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/G75VW/specifications/ How do you have your Mbox connected? Also, usually when you get a bluescreen error it will tell you what program/file caused it, next time it happens can you see if you can get a screen grab of that?

Somehow, my System Restore got turned off. So, I have no backup image to go back to.

I really want to narrow in on the exact cause of the BSOD. I can put any USB devices into my side ports. But the MBOX crashed and gives a BSOD almost immediately. Sometimes, it will start to work when I am playing audio MP3s through Winamp, and then it crashes with a BSOD. The only time I have a "stable computer" is when the MBOX is off and not connected.

Ok, just noticed you're not the OP. This thread was about at Mbox 3 Pro which is a firewire device. That's why I asked about your firewire card.

Do you have USB 2 ports you could connect the Mbox to, or a USB 2 hub to put between your laptop and Mbox? Also, be sure you've installed the latest drivers for your USB controller.

My MBOX is connected via USB on the side slot ports of my laptop.

Is there a link to the new thread that you moved this to? I'd really like to get some help to get my MBOX back up and running. Thanks!
