Default How to get 3/4 time in Boom...

How do I change the time signature in Boom? I want it to play in 3/4 time. I can't seem to find it in the manual and I can't find anywhere to change the time signature. I changed the time signature in the pro tools LE session to 3/4, but it doesn't have any effect in the Boom plug-in.

change your session meter to 3/4 either for the whole session, or define an area in 3/4 in conductor mode. Boom syncs to the session tempo and time signature.

As do all of your MIDI driven apps.

This is an old thread, I know, but I'm having the same problem. My session is in 6/4 with a time signature marker at the top of the session, yet boom still plays all 4 beats.

I never use this plug so I may not understand how it works, but it also doesn't start and stop when I hit the space bar for playback... I have to manually start Boom from the plug-in interface... is there a setting for it to start and stop with session playback?

I am now using BOOM and trying to come up with cool drums tracks in weird meters like 10/4 ad 9/16. But it feels lik it is simply doing 4/4 loops, despite what the time signature and tempos say in the Pro Tools sessions. Any way to get this plugin to do what I need it to?

I am working on a session which changes from 4/4 to 6/8 (1/8th note = 1/8 note in tempo). Pro Tools and its click plugin are reflecting the meter changes but Air Boom will not form a 6/8 grid in its plugin window when the meter changes occur. It shows the same ol' 4/4 grid (16 positions) for the whole track.

During the 6/8 sections, it truncates the 4/4. ie, x12 16th notes are played on the grid at the start of each bar before it cycles back. This would be useable if the cycle was accurate but sadly, the grid seems to add or subtract grid positions whimsically sometimes 12 (16th notes= a whole 6/8 bar) sometimes 13 before recycling.

Can I trust it to play the 6/8 sections accurately?

I am revisiting this old thread again, as I am trying to use BOOM to come up with some odd meter beats and vibes in 10/4 and 7/8. I haven't been able to find any solid information where BOOM can function in odd meters that exist in my Pro Tools sessions. I would be grateful for any advice that anyone can offer. :)

You would have to setup your session for 3/4 time.

The the bars line up and boom will play the time
