Default super long protools startup

My system takes 3-5 to startup protools. Other apps work fine and ever 5th or 6th time protools boots up in less than 20 seconds. Has anyone seen this its making me crazy right now.

specs:

HD3 accel PCI-X
Magma PE6R4
Mac Pro 2 X 2.8 Quad Core Xeon
6 GB 800Mhz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Protools 8.0.1cs1
thanks

I'm still on 7.4 so I don't know about 8, but when PT boots up here it shows what's loading throughout the boot-up. If 8 is the same, can you see what it's hanging on for a long time during boot-up? If it's a specific plug-in, maybe you need to reinstall that one or something.

Hey feaks,
Yeah, since 8.01 I've had it take about 1-2 minutes. Consistently. (I've had NO "fast boot-ups" like you have had)
Always boots up fine, however, just takes a long time. Since it's not a show-stopper and I've een too busy to troubleshoot, just been living with it...

(ignore the 8.0cs3 in my sig...)

I had the same problem. You may want to check if Spotlight is indexing, that caused it to me.

I have that same system, it's fine. Are you unplugging your iLok? Are you cache'ing your plugins?
