Default Drum Overhead Mics

Just wondering, has anyone tried Audio Techinca 3035's for overheads or anything else for that matter.

They look interesting. Thinking about getting a pair to use instead of C1000's.

Any opinions?

Is that the Russian made condenser? I saw those in a magazine but had never heard of them. Any good?

I have a pair. The sound is fantastic. I use them as overheads currently, but would like to try them out for guitar and possibly grand piano. Highly recommend them. Guitar Center is selling a factory matched pair for $200. Can't beat that.

Yes, that's the stuff from russia.
They're really great for almost everything:
Overheads, Hihat, Snare, Choir OH, Violin, Contrabass, Cello, Viola, Acoustic Git., Piano
(That's only the stuff I tried for myself. Oh, I even used one for lead vox once!)
Can be used for cabs, too, if you like that.

What, $200 for two??? With on or with three capsules?

(Exp.: there is the Mk012 that cames with cardiod, hypercardioid, omni
and theres the Mk012a with only cardioid. I think you can choose actually)

A friend bought additional 12(!) after he tried a pair of it.

Best value for money mic I could imagine. Can be compared with mic's that cost 3 to 4 times as much.

I just found the email from Megaaudio (they're selling the Oktava's in Germoney):
It's been 672DM which would be about $270 for ONE Mk012 (three capsules).
