I had no fan noise with Pro Tools 12, now with Pro Tools studio my Macbook Pro 2015 2.8. i7 16gb RAM fans are sounding after creating about 15 tracks. is this normal?

Uncheck Setup > Playback Engine > Intel Turbo Boost.
If you need more than that there is lots of discussion about this in the past on DUC... you can find that with a good search using the site: duc.avid.com qualifier. |

If you have fan noise problems in general, not only w/PT, I can recommend a utility called Turbo Boost Switcher that sits in your menu bar, and lets you turn TB on/off manually. There's a free version, does the job.
