Default Urgent OMF Import failed error -6040

Hi,
I have to solve a problem until saturday I hope somebody can help me.
I have to import an OMF-Session (from DVD) in my PT (7.1, HPXW). When I open the omf-file, the import begins, the session data dialog shows me 26 tracks with video. I dont import viedeo, cause video comes with digiBeta.
During import no alert appears. After Import the alert box that some files are truncated appears. After click on the box, the files are shown in the region list and on the playlist. But there is one crazy effekt. Every region has inside the audio material from the only file which is in the Audio Files Folder. Different length but always the same file. And if i start playing an error -6040 appears. After restart PT works fine, but the audiofiles is always the same. The names in the playlist are different, but the audiofile and the waveform is the same. There are hundred of files in the region list, but only one in the Audio Files Folder

Is there any helping advice, that helps me to import the session. Its very urgent, cause on saturday the whole thing shoult work.

Thanks alot

Peter

I probably can't help, but I think you may need to list more info:

What program did you export from?

When you exported, did you export the audio files in the OMF or reference them seperately? As I remember PT only likes it when the audio is referenced.

It's been a long time since I imported an OMF, so I'm not much help. I think I was using Pro Tools 5.1.3 on my old Mac G4 Mix rig last time I tried. My info may be out of date.

Good luck

Thanks MDog for your post,

the session was exported from Avid by an editor. I didn´t export in on my own.
Thanks
Peter
