Where /how can I download Strike onto my new PT setup

I do not use it a lot but it is a pretty cool virtual drummer that I have owned for many years. Just putting together a new computer (Mac Studio). I have a current perpetual license. Kinda lost here. I do remember upgrading years ago but the Internet is not helping me out. What is the path for this?

Strike got sold off to Air Music Technology when Avid unloaded a bunch of stuff.

If my memory is correct Strike was never licensed back by Avid and is *not* included in the Avid Complete Plugin Bundle. It was never included with Pro Tools either AFAIK, only some old bundles. Avid still has the old Strike 1.5 (RTAS only) version for sale on their web site. **don't buy that** You want Strike 2 from Air: https://www.airmusictech.com/virtual...ts/strike.html

But the world has really moved on since Strike. Unless you have legacy sessions that used Strike that you really need to reconstitute as they were I would look for alternate drum VIs. I'd be starting with Toontrack's EZDrummer 3. Way more capable that Strike, lots of expansion packs and you can upgrade to Superior Drummer if you ever want an ultimate kitchen sink drum VI.

Hey Darryl, I feared as much. If I could find it cheap I may buy the latest version. I own BFD which sounds good but has its own issues. Fortunately I still have my old chessegrater so I may just wrap up all those mixes and move on. I did like the workflow with strike. BTW thanks once again for helping a pensioner like me stay current. Good thing I don't have to do an upgrade on my 1963 A-100/Leslie251. Your counsel is greatly appreciated. Cheers

I contacted Air Music Technology yesterday about my copy of Structure. It was 1.1 RTAS and they were most helpful. I got a link to the latest AAX version and they explained how update the iLok.

I cannot get AIR to even send me email. And no, it is not a spam problem -- I administer my own domain and there is absolutely nothing from AIR in quarantine.

The process didn't work and I have a link in the email to contact at inmusicbrands.com for that eventuality. So maybe I wasn't so lucky.

Maybe a 1.1 license needs upgrading, but there was no mention in the exchange?

I really like Strike, but I cannot get it to work on Pro Tools anymore. I have the latest PT and a M1 MacBook pro. After installing the first download of the trial version - the second file wouldn’t open - and the Update, suddenly Pro Tools hangs on start up, trying to load Plug Ins.

I need to either have Strike work, or uninstall it so it doesn’t hang Pro Tools on start up.

Any suggestions? I'd be happy just to uninstall it. Their Support sucks.
