A simple voices/DSP question
I have always used 48 voices and 3DSP. Now everytime I launch PT I get a message telling me that my setting is 96 voices and 3DSP but the session is at 48 & 3.
Why does my machine keep defaulting to 96? |

Re: A simple voices/DSP question
The "default" Voices and DSP settings for PT CHANGE to whatever session was last opened.
For example, if you were to always work with sessions that use 48 voices and 3 DSP, then PT would always open with those settings, without giving you a prompt window. However, if you were to try to open a session that was saved with 96 voices and 4 DSP then PT would create a prompt window saying, "The current playback setting is 48/3...would you prefer to use the playback engine saved with this session which is 96/4?" This allows you to change the settings to match each specific session that you open. You would hit "Yes" to match the session settings. After closing that session of 96/4, the next time you try to open up a 48/3 session, you will get a message like, "The current playback setting is 96/4 ...would you prefer to use the playback engine saved with this session which is 48/3?" Just hit "Yes" and then your "current playback settings" will be 48/3 and will remain so until you open a session that was saved with different settings. |
