Can anyone shed light on this error? It happened upon saving and closing a session. PT's will not quit properly. Autosave function is disabled. The transport locked into PLAY and did not respond to any clicking or spacebar attempts to stop. On a hard reboot, PT's opens the session but audio files are not present and it doesn't go searching for any either.
Other sessions open fine, but there is no INPUT communication to the 192. But audio plays back. Dialogue Box reads: Could not complete your request because assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vbvd/AlturaPorts/SDKS/Neo61/libraries/Macintosh/Environments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNeoStreamable.cpp", line 2247. Digi? Anyone? Thank you!!! -scott |

I'm assuming you're on Mac...
Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files. |

Thanks Digi! We are a studio once again. The link was quite helpful. Here is what we followed, just short of the PT reinstall.
Troubleshooting tips Delete Pro Tools preferences. -Go to Users > “your user name” > Library > Preferences -Delete 'com.digidesign.protools.plist', 'DAE Prefs' (folder), 'DigiSetup.OSX' and 'Pro Tools preferences'. -Empty trash, then restart the computer. Repair Permissions -Quit Pro Tools and launch Apple's "Disk Utility" application, located in: MacHD>Applications>Utilities. -Select your boot drive (the whole drive, not the volume underneath the drive) -Go to the 'First Aid' tab and select "Repair Disk Permissions" Apple recommends doing this any time you install new software, update your OS or reinstall any software. Databases and Volumes -Delete the Digidesign Databases folders on the first level of all mounted hard drives, then delete the "Volumes" folder in MacHD > Library > Application Support > Digidesign > Databases. -Empty trash, then restart the computer. |

Scott,
I had a similar problem several weeks ago. I narrowed it down to one drive. I did everything you did. It seems the Digi Database just on that specific drive was corrupted. After dumping it all the problems were gone. Kinda scary! Mitch
