Anti Priracy
Which settings should i use to create my audio CDR master for duplication?
Will they prevent the dup house from doing their job? Will they make the CDs harder to play in cheap CD players? |

Re: Anti Priracy
-Enabling the SCMS flag shouldn't present a "compatibility" issue for certain CD players.
-Check with the duplication facility regarding their rules for SCMS. Brent [ June 25, 2001: Message edited by: DigiTechSupt ] |

Re: Anti Priracy
Thanks for responding. My Yamaha burner wouldnt accept the scms flags so i used the Protect mark. Burned ok... will this give me any protection from unauthorized duplication?

Re: Anti Priracy
-That depends on what device is being used to copy the CD. Some devices (most likely pro audio gear) ignore copy protection while others (consumer products) may prevent it.
-If it's copied through AES/EBU to another device, copying can take place because AES/EBU was developed before any copy protection schemes. Note: All Digi hardware ignores the copy protection flag. Brent |
