Thanks, Chris. I've wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work.
Now I'm using your "Cut Special>All Automation" tip, and I am happy again.

And I am happy everyday because I get to work alongside Chris (aka CJGuitar)

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if 'Glide to all enabled' is working for you (at all) in PT10.3.1...?

I'm trying to use it for surround pan movements and I just don't seem to get it to work. Now I am wondering if I'm looking over something or the feature just isn't working.

When I make an adjustment is just jumps back to the value it was on before and making the auto-breakpoint at that position, without the 'gliding'...

Please, any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Dennis

Gidday,

All fixed in 10.3 and working over and above expectation! (can't comment on 10.3.1 as I won't be updating to that release version).

Cheers

Tom

Thanks for the reply...

So it must be my user error.

Perhaps you can help me out: why would the the 'Glide To' option write the previous value and not the new (adjusted) value? Are there any other things I need to look at besides the Automation Enable??

It seems I'm doing everything like the manual and various online tutorials telling me to do, but nothing happens. 'Write to All Enabled' does work.

Cheers,
Dennis

Moofie:

Can you explain your workflow a little more? As far as I can tell, glide is STILL broken in 10.3. I'm accustomed to the following back in Pro Tools 7-9:

-seeing or hearing a big automation jump (that clicks or pops)
-clicking on the timeline after the jump
-hitting automation suspend
-making a selection before and after the jump
-opt-shift-/ glide all enabled
-automation glides (ramps) WITHIN the selection from the old values to the new

What I'm seeing now in PT 10.0-10.3 is automation gliding outside the selection to the next breakpoint. I'm confused. Is this the new standard?

Try it without auto suspend.

DOH!

Disregard my previous post. Glide is currently better and easier than ever.

Thanks CJ!

(soundarchitect, are you making a selection when hitting glide?)

It doesn't make any difference if I make a selection or not. Automation is not suspended...

Cheers

Maybe Glide Automation was fixed in 10.3.1?
