2018.4 crashing on launch all of the sudden

After working totally flawlessly ever since upgrading to 2018, today I'm suddenly getting crash on launch. The Splash screen shows for a second and then I get the error asking to send data to avid.

Literally nothing has changed on my system.

After reading some stuff on here I think it might have to do with iLok. I have the monthly subscription. In ilok manager it says I need to refresh my licenses, but hitting refresh doesn't seem to do anything. My billing cycle is tomorrow.

Such a pain. Have major deadlines and can't work!

System is a MacBook Pro i5 10.13.4 and 2018.4

Try downloading the PT Prefs tool and clearing the caches.

I'm back up and running. The 7th time I completely removed and reinstalled pro tools it randomly started working again.

There is an alert in the Avid Knowledge Base under Pro Tools System Requirements:

ALERT: Do not upgrade to macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4
Initial testing of Pro Tools with macOS 10.13.4 has shown serious problems with CPU performance at lower buffer sizes. Avid is working to find a resolution for this problem. It is recommended that users refrain from updating to 10.13.4 until further notice. If you have to use 10.13.4 then make sure to avoid lower buffer sizes (64 samples or lower at 48kHz, 128 samples or lower at 96kHz, 256 samples at 192kHz)
