Is it possible to use 2 Macs with one interface
I am using MacBook Pro and Mac Pro 12 Core , Macbook with Pro Logic for midi and software instruments . Pro Tools in Mac 12 Core with tons of overhead with Apogee Symphony64 PCIe card . I am curious if i turn on MacBook with the interface already synced and running on Mac Pro , will the Symphony be able to recognize both computers as using 2 separate inputs . i.e PCIe card in Mac Pro and USB simultaneously ? I am not quite sure if this could or should be answered in Pro Tools forum. As this could be a Apogee or Mac question ? Thanks 2 x 2.4 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 32 GB RAM 1333 Mac Pro,, MacBook 2.4GHz 8 core i7 , Pro Tools 10 , Pro Logic , etc,,,,,,

Re: Is it possible to use 2 Macs with one interface
Not a PT question but more appropriate to ask Apogee. But my reading of the Apogee material is it can only use one interface protocol/connection at a time. To use it on both computers at the same time would not work. What you have to do is disconnect the Apogee from one computer and connect it to the other computer AND tell the Symphony I/O by way of it's front panel that you're changing the setup.
