Default Expression Pedal observations

Just by chance I plugged in an old Korg EXP2 pedal that hadn't been used since the Roman invasion of England. Lo and behold it worked...
This opened up the whole 4 choices thing on the Multi-FX. This is very well thought out in that it changes per patch to whatever FX's you have configured. For example if you selected the Spring Reverb it will only show that one, not the SR reverb, and the relevant controls for that FX.
So I thought This gives me the opportunity to set up Clean/crunch amp or even different tone for an amp by moving the pedal.
That is when I ran into problem 1: Not all parameters of the amp are present and some that are present are not on the amp. For example when an amp has a bright switch or tremelo switch you cannot select that for toggle on/off. Now I understand most would use it to sweep parameters but it would be nice to have the option.
Problem 2: Well niggle really. The numbers on some of the amps didn't match the Protools software 11R. For example I was messing around with an AC-30 amp. In multi FX I set the gain 1 to 7.1 to 3.5 and gain 2 to 4.5 to 4.0. When sweeping the pedal the numbers were OK in the software but different on the 11R, like gain 1 was 6.9 to 3.5. It seemed that the lower numbers were more accurate than the higher values...

re Prob 1: id say that its possibly because they are toggle type switches and not 'knobs'

re Prob 2: pass :S

Yep then explain the Rotary sound - three-way toggle switch

No doubt that all of these are due to current firmware limitations.
With a proper MIDI controller you'd be able to send multiple CC messages and change those settings in real time. Toggle type switch would simply "toggle" halfway between the 0 and 127 value.
If you're really into this type of stuff, you'd be better off getting a MIDI controller (preferably a good one!) has there is no guaranties if this will be addressed in future firmware updates, or when.
Although, programming a MIDI controller might be challenging at times depending on the quality of the device and it's interface.
