Strange GUI problem

Something I installed seems to have jacked Protools user interface.

When I try to bring up File->Import Audio .. I get this:

Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/153787/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559.

None of the plugin GUI's come up. I wonder if an application installed an incompatible GUI library (like Qt or OpenGL)??

I uninstalled and re-installed PT .. no luck. This is PT 11.3.1

Which version of Mac OS?

Any resolution on this? I'm getting the exact same error message and I have no idea of where to even start. All I was attempting to do was import audio.
