Foot switch for effects assigned in track.

Hi:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me this, I want to use a footswitch for effects assigned in track. Is it possible to turn the effects on/off using a Foot switch? If yes, then what should I buy?

I am using Digi003, PT8.0.5, MacBookPro.

AFAIK, this is not possible. Why not simply automate the selection? The only possible way to make it work with a footswitch would involve some external device that can convert the footswitch to a midi command, then you would have to teach the plugin to follow the command. Just my opinion, but it seems like way more work than its worth You can automate every knob or button on almost any plugin
