pro tools cannot recognize mbox 2

i got the mbox 2 ignition pack with ptle 6.9 and when i try to install it it says pro tools can't find my digidesign hardware...i have tried a million different things and still can't figure it out...i went to the digidesign site and can't find any info on fixing it..please help!!

Whats your computer Specs..

Is it Via firewire or usb.. You gotta tell us your setup

The MBox 2 isn't compatible with versions of Pro Tools before version 7. When it first came out, it came with a modified versions that was numbered 6.8.1, but that version would only work with the mbox2, and no other 6.x version has drivers or recognition for the mbox2.

You will need to use version 7.0 or above.

so the disc they gave me sucks lol ...how can i get 7.0 or do i have to buy it

i am running it usb the specs i know is its
windows xp service pack 2
emachines t3418
amd sempron 3400+ processor
2.01 ghz
512 ram
....i already tried to install it on multiple pc's same results everytime
and the ptle 6.9 disc is what came with the package

Hi Sinumatic-

Sempron processors are not compatible with Pro Tools.
I don't believe the NVIDIA GeForce 6100 chipset your machine has is compatible either... although I'm not positive.

As for your version of PTLE... spkguitar's information is correct. Did you buy this package second hand?

I would suggest getting the latest version of PTLE (7.3) from the Digistore.
Your results will be based on using a compatible computer, though.

thanks for all the info i will look into the newer pro tools and see about getting a new pc or getting this one up to spec
