Default i-tunes

hello i was going to try using i-tunes to burn to disk instead of media player
and when i go to play something it sounds (pixilated is the best way i can describe it)
delayed and broken up. if i open the same file in media player it plays fine. what's up
anyone have a clue what's wrong?

what software do you use to burn with?

thx jay

In the consumer category, I prefer Nero.
CD Architect has become my hands down favorite
burning program, though.

If by "pixilated" you mean skipping, you may be burning at
too high a speed.
For general audio use, I never burn faster than 8x.
For critical use, I burn at the lowest setting available with my hardware (Plextor burner). In CDA that's 4x.

Since Media Player is doing well with your burns but Itunes isn't, you might try increasing the buffer setting in Itunes.

I have found that iTunes (though I really love the program) has the most picky burn process/result. Some of my friends' CD players have trouble playing them. Not much you can do b/c of licensing. If you purchased songs on iTunes, you'll have to use an authorized iTunes account to burn with. You could try authorizing a different computer, using a different burner and different discs and see if that makes a difference.

I think JMS is right-increase the buffer in iTunes.
