main menu bar missing. pls help.

hello there.
i'm new to pc/windows 7(used macs for ten years) so i've been having a little trouble but nothing major until...
i accidentally closed the "main window" in pt9 and the mix and edit windows along the main menu bar disappeared with it. now i can't get any of them back open to save my life.
i've tried using the window configurations in the demo song. looked in the manual for any shortcuts. i even reinstalled pro tools. still nothing. when i open pt the transport is there, plugin windows, i can load almost any window except the mix/ edit/ and "main" windows.
any help would be much appreciated.

Can u post a screen shot? The mix & edit windows are the main windows so I'm not sure what u mean as I guess the others who peeped in don't get it either : confused:

Did you look under Windows in the main menu bar?

here's a link to a photo of the screen.
pro tools is running here. you can see the counter and transport. i can navigate to different points in the track by dragging the counter numbers up and down. i can play/stop the track with the transport. (i can't move the faders, so i can only monitor the "current" mix).
but as you can see there is no menu bar.
i can bring up all kinds of different windows using keyboard shortcuts but not the mix or edit windows. and also not what i was calling the "main" window which i guess is just whatever "window" that contains the main menu bar.

Do you just have the one screen?

Have you tried the shortcuts or menu options to bring up the edit/mix windows? (ctrl+=)
