Automatic Delay Compensation disappears randomly ....

My rig has suddenly become unstable & prone to crashing in different ways. I'm going through the list of things that have been recommended and when I think I got it it'll crash again.
I've got an HD2. I've reseated the cards & thought about moving them to another slot but the top PCIe slot looks way too tight with part of the side panel latch being there so I've left them alone.

Mac 10.4.8/7.3.1cs4/Mac Pro 2.66

The latest weirdness is that the Automatic Delay Compensation View(on the mixer) is just showing dashes. I have it turned on & I also have it where it should be viewable. If I quit PT sometimes it comes back but usually after a restart. Very strange.

Again I've pulled the plugs from the Plugins folder & added them pretty much one by one to see if there's a culprit as I go along plus I've reinstalled PT several times.
Can't figure it out.

The one that worked...reinstalled Mac OS X and wiped the drive and reinstalled all the Digi stuff & every plug I have.

It works anyway.
