This is AWESOME | $290 4 Slot PCIe to PCI Expansion Chassis
This web site is in German only but I spoke to the guy and supposedly it runs with PT HD Cards.
I am going to get one and test it... Finally a competition to the totally over priced Magma BS... Here's the link: $290 Expansion Chassis

Yes MAC - but not stated. I talked to the guy owning the company - he said - Mac Compat. So I trust he was telling the truth. Especially since he is offering a 16 days Money Back Guarantee

I recently bought a 4 slot Magma PCI (not "e") on Ebay for $275. Working great with my Macbook Pro HD2 Accel (OS X 10.5.1 + PT 7.4)

This would be a Godsend. Is it $290 US Dollars or is that Euros. (that would be like $600 USD)

$458 - to be exact at todays currency rates.
Yes it would be a godsend. I spoke to "The" guy there today. He is apparently the inventor and I told him about PT which he did not know. But as I told him about the problematic he immediately understood the digidesign/Avid potential. He told me that they have had some problems with power issues and have just received new chips which they are testing as we speak. I offered him to test the chassis and he agreed to send me one as soon as they had tested the changes. In 3 months he is bringing out another model. This one is NOT in a chassis and has NO power supply - you can then use the powersupply of your choice and build it in WHERE EVER you'd please. I hope and pray that this will carry at least 3 HD cards. Then digi can keep their TOTALLY overpriced and UNFORGIVINGLY UNFAIR PCI to PCIe upgrade offers to themselves and Magma can keep day dreaming somewhere deep within Utopia's dusky corners about their 6 piece expansion chassis.
