Default GUI finally snappy again! Thanks, Avid!!

I never thought I'd see that day, but I just installed 2022.7 and did some editing for an hour or so. It's bliss. After freaking years of unbearable sluggishness that has been somewhat improved by recent releases at least - NOW it feels like smooth peanut butter.
I don't understand how Avid could not get to fixing an issue of such fundamental nature for Y-E-A-R-S, but heck I'm glad they finally did.
And I do appreciate the monthly bugfix updates.
Things at Avid seem to have been changing for the better in 2022. I like that. Still not a fan of the company. But less of a hater due to recent developments. Keep it going, please!

I've never had a sluggish GUI issue on Mac or Win, several studios, several Pro Tools versions. I doubt that this particular version update is what fixed your issue, but more likely a fresh install fixed it.

There have been Mac specific GUI lags on Big Sur +. Release notes state this as a fixed issue.

So any issue that you don't experience yourself is basically non existent, and has to be doubted until proven to you? Some people.

Yes, with many computers, the GUI is sluggish. This has occurred for a very long time. The release notes show a lot of work done to alleviate this, and it sounds like they've been successful, at least for the OP.

Never said non existent or doubted. Sorry if I came across that way.

I've never had the GUI sluggish issues with my system but I can report that the 2022.7 update at least did not break anything for me. :)
