Fireface 802: (new, a tribute to the Fireface 800)

And as I mentioned before there are lots of RME gear for sale on EBay and Reverb etc. with very wishful thinking crazy high prices, lots of stuff claimed to be demo or new unopened boxes of old stock that folks are advertising at list price on old tech. Some will bite when you make realistic offers... I've purchased several nice used RME converter boxes in the last year. Never paid near list. And I picked up most in Europe on Reverb.

Hey there. I have a fireface 800 working with no issues on an M1 mac on the latest Monterey operating system. Need a couple adapters to plug it in, but otherwise it works great. RME has really terrific driver support, so anything with their logo is a good bet. That said, I wouldn't spend too much on it since firewire is a dying breed.

Thanks all for your input…. Seems to be a stock shortage in Oz for the 802’s. And having though about it and what would really suit my needs I went with a brand new RME Fireface UCX II…. and by the looks on tracking its due to arrive today 😁👍

Expect you will love it. Take the time to learn TotalMix, there are good videos on YouTube by RME but nothing beats just playing around with it.... even if most of the time you don't plan on using it.
