Default McDSP filterbank

Has any one noticed the phase flip on the filterbank doesnt work?

Is it a bug or perhaps my system only. I emailed McDSP a few days ago but they didnt reply.

This may be overstating the obvious, but have you made a copy of the audio track, (so you have two tracks) and flipped the phase switch on just one of them? You may not hear any difference if you flip the phase swich on just one track.

In rare cases, I have to pan to center or hard left/right to hear a noticealbe difference when flipping a phase switch.

I have tried it with 2 tracks and fliping one of them. It doesnt work. When I use another plug-in for phasxe reverse the sound is cancelled.

Have you got this plug-in. Have you tried it on yours?Let me know.

Howdy Nocturnal, others,

...it appears the phase flip may not be working correctly on the RTAS version of some of the FilteBank configs. Mind you there are 20 configs, so checking all this takes a little time here.

Someone (PW from England) did contact us about the phase flip last week, and I am indeed delinquent in getting back! Hold tight while I get to the bottom of the problem!

I have Filterbank v.1.1.1, and the Phase switch on mine definetely puts the mix out of phase. Make sure you really know what Phase sounds like...

In mono, it makes your signal disappear, but in Stereo, it just cancels most of the stuff up the center (Bass, etc.) and pulls you ear to one side...
