002r, MIDI and Mackie Control Universal
I've just converted from Mac Pro Tools to Windows. I know nothing of how MIDI works on a Win machine. I've connected my 002r to my Mackie Control via the built-in MIDI but PTLE report that it can't connect to the Mackie. This worked fine when connected on my Mac. Is there some sort of control panel or wizard or...??? that I need to setup my MIDI connections? On the Mac there was OMS and now AudioMIDI app. Is there something similar in Windows or I do I have to tweak something somewhere? FYI- I've got the Control Surface in PTLE set to HUI. Any ideas?

If you have the midi ports connected to the back of the 002, you set it up the same way as on MAC---via the Protools menu Setups/Peripherals/Midi Controllers then choose Type(HUI), RECEIVE&SEND(Digi-002)
also make sure the Mackie in set to HUI MODE.
