PT 6 midi interface and chasis compatibility

Digi or anyone,
Just some quick questions so I can prepare to upgrade. After looking over the new compatibility documents...
1) Will the MTP AV USB midi interface ever be supported? Is this up to you guys or MOTU?

2) It says the cardbus magma chasis is not supported. Does this still mean that a 4 slot will not work hooked up to a PowerMac Desktop as well? Any sort of time frame regarding this?

I just need to know whether I can/should preorder?

I don't understand why a MOTU USB midi interface with OS X drivers would not work with ProTools. I don't understand why you would expect Digidesign to test it. I do understand that Digi would prefer you to use their hardware, exclusive of all others. That is just good business.

I never "expected" digidesign to test it. I simply asked about whether they PLANNED on supprting it, being that there are at least two other midi interface manufacturer's supported. The MTP AV is also one of the most popular interfaces in the industry. The Digi Midi interface has only been available for less than a year, prior to that Digi did not have a midi interface.
I understand the business point, however, this is not a solid argument, as this is not a product that Digi has carried very long.

The basis of the QUESTION (not statement), is to figure out what I need for this upgrade either now or 6 months down the road.

Sorry, the cardbus chassis is currently not supported on any Apple Computer including desktops. We continue to work with Apple on resolving this issue.
