Default disk allocation problems

I was working on PT 5.2 LE on my old machine with my Mbox. I just got a new 12" powerbook and I'm still using my previous glyph net external drive which houses my sessions. I upgraded to 6.1.1, and I plugged in my glyph drive and was able to open and work on several sessions, both new and old. no problems. then I went back to my old machine and did some work on 5.2 with the glyph on a certain file. now, I've plugged everything back into the new powerbook, and when I open ANY session, it first says things like the disk allocation has changed or is invalid, and that files are not in the right place or invalid, and it basically doesn't work. if a session even opens, there nothing there. ! Please help. I've over three months logged into a current project that I'm trying to finish.

Default Re: disk allocation problems

first of all, make sure all the audio and files for each song are in the correct folder, you should have a folder for each song, within which is the session file, an audio files folder, and a fade files folder. In the future, when you open a session and you're going to record audio, check the disk allocation window and make sure new audio will end up in the correct place on the firewire drive and not on your internal drive. When you open the session, if it says the disk allocation has changed, say fine. If it says it's missing audio files, direct the session to the correct audio files folder, it should be able to reassociate the regions in your edit window to the correct files. Good luck.
