Default Upgrade to 7.4 -- is this easy to do?

sorry guys, didn't change subject line as i tried ... lets try this again:
Ok, so looks like no matter what Drum Software i get, i've got to get up to PT 7 or above.
I'm ok spending the $75 to upgrade from my 6.9. My concern is how hard it is to do so? Is it as simple as downloading the 7.4 from Digistore, and i'm ready to go (much as upgrading from 6.7 to 6.9 was)? Or ... and this is my fear ... am i going to have to uninstall current version, and reinstall a whole bunch of stuff? Please please tell me it will be easy ... and i will be sold
I now have Strike and EZDrummer, and it seems that neither are going to work properly until i upgrade my PT.
I got reply yesterday to read someone's post before doing so, but not sure if just that person had challenges, or its to be expected.

any help appreciated guys/gals

It should be that easy but before you do anything, go here and read my last post. Get another hard drive the same size as your system drive.

I have the same fear TDub. I have something that I have to finish up this week on 7.3 but as soon as that is done I am considering taking the 7.4 plunge. Seems like when it first came out there were posts of people with issues but those types of posts look like they have slowed down. There will always be someone with technical problems posting on a forum but it appears that those issues have dropped to a "normal" rate of troubles.
