Future of the C24?

Greetings from Australia everyone!

Thinking about buying a second C24. Digidesign seem to be pushing them down here (via the website and dealers), whereas, theres not much mention on the Digi (USA) website.

Not trying to start an ugly rumor, but does anyone know if Digi is planning to discontinue the C24 anytime soon. Have they stopped making them?

I just don't like the idea of buying something that's about to get axed from the product line. We've had our current C24 for 6 years, I'd like to get that mileage out of another. Just don't want to get shafted when Digi come out with PT 8.0 next year and all of a sudden it doesn't support the C24. They do tend to do this.

Come now. You must know you won't get any verifiable statements that the C24 is going away.

And while Digi has retired interfaces in the past due to the lack of forward compatability (i.e. 888|24), the C24 has been around for a few versions of PT.

If they stopped supporting the C24, I'm sure there would be many many other fallouts as well.
