Default 82b tokens

I am getting the 'ran out of 82 byte tokens' msg with a HUI and 5.1.1 on a dual/450.
I saw that some others had this problem before and Brent was emailing a text file for the DAE folder.
Is this still available?

TIA

-This error (Out of 82 byte tokens) seems to be common in systems when using a Control Surface with PT 5.1 or 5.1.1.

-Post your email addresses and I can send you a SimpleText document which increases the 82 token byte count to 500.

Brent,

Thanks for the script to drag into dae folder but it has not solved the problem. Yesterday i loaded a session and protools did its thing and as it opened a window for edit and mix, the message "ran out of 82mb tokens" appeared.
It so happened that i had service guys in from tyrell in Dublin Ireland in with me at the time, and it baffled them. On the message was an "ok" box to click so i did so and the message reappeared followed by another message "ran out of 128mb tokens". We decided to look at the script file you sent and underneath another file had been created called "TokenSizes.txt.ack.txt" is this normal.

Please help me as this happens randomly and normally requires a restart

Regards

John

-Unfortunately, I've never seen this. Remove the "TokenSizes.txt.ack.txt" from the DAE folder, trash PT prefs and DAE prefs (folder) and relaunch Pro Tools.

-If problems persist, reinstall DAE from the PT CD-ROM.

Hi

I was the one that posted this some time ago.
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:<HR> We decided to look at the script file you sent and underneath another file had been created called "TokenSizes.txt.ack.txt" is this normal.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

This is normal in my system too, and every time you trash that new file, it will appear again the next time you launch PT, right?

Brent suggested to increase the value in the file he e-mailed, and that helped a little, but I still see the error sometimes, although not as often as before.

Brent:

Are not there any other token values we can increase? In your file there is only one line, but the generated file("TokenSizes.txt.ack.txt"), which is something like a report of the modified token size values, you can see more tokens that could probably be modified too.

Thanks,

Ricardo
