Default I just bought an Mbox - do I have to pay for 7.4?

That kind of sucks...I just bought one that came with 7.3.1 - surely I don't have to pay $75 to upgrade to 7.4???

Go register it on the Digidesign site. If you just bought it from an authorized dealer, Digidesign will send you instructions via email on how to download the free upgrade to 7.4

As long as he registers it within 30 Days of purchase he should receive the upgrade free of charge. After registering he will automatically receive the download links Via email to his "My Digi" account-its that simple. Digi's upgrade policy is fairly reasonable, When 7.4 was announced anyone that had purchased a Digi product in the prior 30 days was eligable for a free upgrade to 7.4.

You have to draw the line somewhere and 30 days is pretty reasonable and also happens to be in line with most brick and morters and online sellers return/refund policys.
