Bouncing to .wav format problems
I'm on a G4 Pr Tools Mix Plus system. When
trying all of a sudden to bounce a 24 bit/48 kHz song to a 16/44.1 .wav to burn on Toast, Toast wouldn't recognize the new file! Ahhh! I intially thought I had accidentally tried to burn a SDII file, but I hadn't. After repeating the process and of course double-checking all of the dialogue boxes, I saved the stereo-interleaved 16 bit, 44.1 kHz to a zip and transfered them to a PC with Wavelab recognized these so-called .wav files as a Microsoft wave and was able to "save as them" over to regular .wav's. What in tarnation is going on here? John A. Czajkowski |

Re: Bouncing to .wav format problems
Although I was not able to not confirm this in their manual, I am pretty sure that Toast does not recognize .WAV files as a valid file type for creating Audio CD's (AIFF and SDII only) on the Macintosh.
I would suggest importing your files into their PC equivalent application: EZ CD Creator and see if the behavior persists. In addition, I would suggest saving your file with a filename up to PC spec. In other words, "filename".WAV ("filename" not longer than 8 characters). Brent |

Re: Bouncing to .wav format problems
Toast recognizes interleaved SDII files. Jam recognizes .wav files.
Przemek.
